Whether for practical or aesthetic purposes, the Dual V4 Extruder Upgrade enables your M2 3D printer to extrude two different filament materials while printing a single object. Our dual extruder upgrade kit includes complete assembly instructions and requires a 24-volt M2.
Each upgrade kit is made-to-order and therefore involves a lead time of approximately 7 days.
The Electronics Case is included with all current M2 3D printers, and serves as an upgrade for all M2 3D printers purchased before February 2015.
It is made of powder-coated stainless steel and was designed to protect and house the electronics board on the M2 3D printer.
The Electronics Case does not include the electronics board, 40 mm fan, nor the SD card reader.
The MakerGear LCD Interface (with integrated SD Card Reader) is a perfect upgrade item for those who wish to control their printer without the use of a computer. It includes a RepRap Smart Controller-style LCD screen with assembly hardware, all necessary wiring and connections, as well as a laser-cut ABS housing unit and 3D-printed ABS adjustment knob.
The Power Supply Upgrade Kit allows you to bring your old M2 3D printer up to current MakerGear voltage standards (currently 24 V, previously 19 V), and includes two options:
If you're looking to upgrade your V3b Hot End, then you're in the right place!
With the V4 Extruder Upgrade kit, you can reach higher temperatures (up to 300 °C) while also reducing your material's residence time at elevated temperatures.
In addition to all necessary installation hardware, the V4 Extruder Upgrade Kit includes:
* This upgrade kit is compatible only with M2 3D printers purchased after November 2013 or with earlier M2 3D printers that have already installed the 24 V Power Supply Upgrade Kit. If you purchased your M2 3D printer before November 2013 but have not installed the 24 V Power Supply Upgrade Kit, our "Standard PLUS" Power Supply Upgrade Kit includes both products bundled together.
To remove or swap a nozzle, it is important to remove the hot end from the mount first or the barrel will likely be damaged. Please watch these videos on removing your V4 hot end from the mounting plate and removing the nozzle from your V4 hot end.
