The Build Platform/Heated Build Platform (you can print without heat, depending on the print material) gets mounted on the Y assembly that you completed earlier.
Place the springs over the mounting holes for the three M4 screws.
Place the M4x14 screws into the leveling plate as shown (notch to the right side of the printer). Then lower the plate over the mounting springs. It may take you a couple of attempts to get it right or you may want to get an extra set of hands. Tighten the screws so the springs are compressed approx. half way.
Raise the platform so that the nozzle just touches the center of the leveling plate. You may need to remove or adjust the nylon screw to do this. Then, move the extruder left and right and the build platform forward and backwards. You'll need to use the three leveling screws to get the platform level with the nozzle. You can level it now or wait and level it after you've completed assembly.
Orient the heater PCB so the wiring fits in the slot in the leveling plate and then connect the red T connector and the thermistor hook-up wires. You can use a cable tie to secure the thermistor hook-up wires (the black wires) to the heater PCB power wires for strain relief for the thermistor.
The build platform is removable. For printing secure it with binder clips. You can use different materials for your build surface. Blue painters tape is shown here. Blue painters tape does not need to be heated and works well with PLA. Kapton (brownish) and PET (clear) need to be heated and work with ABS and PLA.
