Full-Time+ Mechanical Engineer - This position has been filled but please send your resume if you are interested in working at MakerGear. We are growing!!


Work on the development of desktop CNC machines, print-heads and related devices. You'll be involved in all facets of product design, development, testing and manufacturing. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical aptitude, mechanical design skills, machining skills as well as the ability to source components and communicate with vendors.

You must be able to demonstrate that you know and love your craft through previous work experience, personal projects, education, professional references, etc.

Being able to get things done and finish what you start are essential (if you are ADD then bring your Addera!!)

Upbeat/Can-do/Irrational optimism - Manufacturing is hard! There will be surprises, challenges and obstacles - you must be able to stay focused, work through it and get along with others.

- 3D modeling and simulation with SolidWorks (or substantial experience with another 3D modeling and simulation package and the willingness to put in the time to quickly get up to speed in SolidWorks)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Machine design experience

Bonus:
Knowledge of machine shop practices
CAM/CNC Machining expertise
Electronics design experience
Programming talent
Injection molding experience
